[Presentation] Concours mondial des feminalise

06 Juin 2018

Today I'd like to talk about 'Concours mondial des féminalise'.
A day in April, I found this wine in supermarket.
It attracted me because of the note "sur lie" and "mouscadet".
Usually I bought Bordeaux wine, but I wanted to taste something else at that time.
Also, the sticker of gold medal was another reason that I chose this wine.

This white wine was excellent!
I matched it with Cheese and Sausage plate, I didn't feel any other bitterness.
Sometimes I felt little bit too much strong acidity or coldness like ice when I drunk white wine,
however this wine was quite softer.
So I was able to enjoy it very much.
(The fact that I finished it at once and alone is not secret.)

Now, I have a question.
What is "Concours mondial des féminalise"?
Through the word "féminalise", I could guess this award is related to females.

I searched for the word, and found their web site very easily.

I believe that this awards is meaningful.
These days, more and more female consumers have a choice of wine.
70% of wine consumption is occupied by female consumers.
Therefore it is very essential to access to wine consumption from the view of women.

The tasters of this awards are all female, more than 600 women from the world participate into the tasting.
Also, Asian women (normally Japanese, I guess) take part in the tasting.

That's great achievement, I think.

HOWEVER

I was so disappointed.
This is because the founder of this awards it male.

A male made an awards of female.
Isn't it strange?

I cannot erase the image that "One beats the bush and another catches the birds."
